Description

Nukesweeper is an iPhone / iPod touch variant of Microsoft's Minesweeper. Minesweeper is the single most popular computer game in the world and probably the biggest loss of productivity in corporate America. (What do they play in Europe? Japan? Mah-jong?)

The rules of the game a very similar to the classic rules: The game starts with a board of "closed" squares. Some of the squares are blank and some have nukes. You press on any square on the board and it "opens". There are total of 20 nukes. The first time you open a square it is guaranteed to be blank. The number of nukes in the adjacent squares is displayed in the open square. The goal is to open all blank squares without opening any squares with nukes.

Poor quailty...

:
Would be horrified if I had spent $5 on this, got for free. Deleted it with-in seconds.

Pretty good for a first version

:
Despite the negative comments that don't seem related to this game (e.g., cars? there are no cars in a Minesweeper game) I think it's really nice for a first version. It's a lot less cluttered and has none of the other ugly brown color theme other games in this genre have. I would welcome a continuos time display, a scoreboard and multiple levels of difficulty (i.e., smaller or bigger mine fields) in the next version. Keep up the good work and keep it simple!

Ugh...

:
Good news? The JPG compression in the screenshot is not in the game itself.

Bad news? Everything else. Only one mid-range difficulty and only one board size. Extremely basic interface. You get exactly what you see in the screenshot. There are better free Minesweeper programs and versions like Boom! are pretty good if you want to spend a buck. This, though--don't even bother with the free download.

And I can't believe the author charges money for this app when it lacks the features of even free competition.
